The World Library
The world's first sovereign, permanent digital library—the first full application of the D-Open Code Sovereign Licence and the D-Code Model. Built for the public domain. Designed to endure for centuries. It's already live, with thousands of records in 8+ languages, used by universities, archives, and research organizations worldwide.
What We Built
The World Library is the purest manifestation of the D-Code Model in production: a regenerative, publicly governed digital commons designed to carry educational content and public domain knowledge into permanence. It is not a platform. It is not a product. It is infrastructure for civilization—owned and governed by the communities that use it.
How It Works: Institutions upload content → The D-Code Model indexes and validates records → Each record receives a cryptographic signature anchored to Arweave's permanent storage → Public access for centuries, with no takedown risk, no censorship, no hidden changes.
The library has been live and uninterrupted on Arweave since 2024 under its original name, DataPond.Earth. Version 9 remains accessible at datapond.earth ↗ as a permanent record. Version 10, built on the D-Code Model, launched in August 2026 as The World Library, opening access to academic libraries, research institutions, and cultural organizations worldwide.
Every record is powered by the D-Code Model—a bibliographic engine capable of sustaining 1M+ records in a 40 MB mobile browser tab. Each record includes field-level provenance tracking (who wrote it, who verified it, who is it for), multilingual support (50+ languages), and cryptographic immutability—nothing can be quietly changed, nothing can be deleted.
Content is protected by the D-Open Code Sovereign Licence, a binding digital constitution that prevents commercial enclosure, ensures permanent public access, and guarantees creator attribution forever.
