Our Story
Founded in 2023, Pond Enterprise emerged from a simple observation: the internet was never designed to last. Links rot. Servers go down. Companies disappear. Entire collections—from academic archives to cultural heritage—vanish overnight or get locked behind corporate paywalls.
We started by asking a harder question: What would it take to build knowledge infrastructure that genuinely cannot be destroyed? Not by budget cuts, not by corporate acquisitions, not by censorship.
The answer required combining three things: Arweave's permanent storage network (which guarantees data accessibility for 250+ years), the D-Code Model (the world's most advanced bibliographic engine), and the D-Open Code Sovereign Licence (a binding legal framework that makes privatisation of public knowledge structurally impossible).
Our flagship project, The World Library, is the proof of concept. It has been running live on Arweave since 2024 and demonstrates that permanent, community-owned digital libraries are not just possible—they're essential.
